About Kelly Marie Smith

I seek to record a time, place, person or object through photography. The photographs are a starting point from which I can begin to experiment with various techniques and processes. I alter the photographs by applying filters or creating digital illustrations. Further experimentation from the original photograph or the altered image generally comes in the form of a print. Print work is often developed through silkscreen, stencil or lino and then separated in to segments. I generally produce abstract artworks whereby more than one medium has been employed.
